Kale & Conjure Arts:
“Hello!
I’m Caillyn. People call me Kale.
I am an artist, illustrator, and creative being located in Richmond, Virginia.
My creative practice is best described in lists; spanning mediums like printmaking, collage, digital illustration; pulling inspiration from mythology, nature, queerness; and centering presence, self-reflection, community, and play. At the core of my work, my goal is to inspire others and help them connect deeper to their personhood and the world around them.
In my professional work, I am passionate about being a steward for communities, through the fields of arts non-profit work, community mutual aid, and teaching. I believe that intentionally bringing people together and connecting them to creativity is critical for building flourishing communities and creating space for meaningful human interaction and expression!
Through the creation of belonging, I hope to bring people together, understand myself, and create spaces & experiences for all to engage in.”
